| President's Message Dear SCCHA Members, November is here, and with it comes cool weather, cozy meals, and heartfelt gratitude. This month, I’m excited to recognize some incredible volunteers, remind you about important board business, and of course invite you to dinner! Gaited Horse Show Recap Let’s give a round of applause (and maybe a few hoof claps) to Kathleen O’Neill, who once again brought the arena to life with our 2nd Annual Gaited Horse Show on October 19. Eight buckles were awarded, yes, eight, and every single one came with big smiles, smooth gaits, and well-earned pride. Horses and humans alike brought their A-game, and we’re so grateful to Kathleen for making it all happen. And who could forget the grooviest night of the year? Our Halloween Dance Party on October 18 was a blast from the past, complete with an Austin Powers theme, outrageous costumes, and some serious dance moves. A big thank you to Sydney Vandenbrand for organizing this far-out evening of fun. Final Call for 2026 Board Nominations This is your last chance to nominate a fellow member (or yourself) for the 2026 SCCHA Board. Whether you’re passionate about horses, events, or helping keep our community strong, we want your voice at the table. Please send nominations to SCCHA_1939@gmail.com or submit them directly to any current Board member. The nomination deadline is the second week of November, and all nominees will be contacted by our nomination committee to confirm their interest. If there are no opposing candidates, it will be considered an uncontested election and the proposed slate will be confirmed without a formal vote. Join Us for Thanksgiving Dinner & Board Elections – November 21 Mark your calendars and bring your appetite! On Friday, November 21, we’ll be hosting our General Meeting & Thanksgiving Dinner, an annual tradition that brings our club family together for warm food and great conversation. As in year’s past, our amazing SCCHA Board will be cooking and serving dinner as a thank-you to all of you who make this club what it is. It’s also the evening when we’ll hold our Board Elections (unless uncontested), so come ready to vote, mingle, and enjoy a family style meal among friends. Thank you all for another amazing season of fun, community, and unforgettable moments with our horses. Whether you helped organize an event, volunteered behind the scenes, or simply showed up with a smile, you are what makes SCCHA feel like home. Wishing you all a joyful and gratitude-filled November. Board Nominations: As things are shaping up, it looks like there won't be a need for an election. Stephen McHenry and Marissa Nebenzahl Sinha stepped up at the October general meeting and accepted the nominations for the remaining 2 one-year positions. Yeah!! We thank the 2025 Board for their dedication to the club, membership, and community. The Board meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month 7:00pm-9:00pm. The below shows the 2026 Board nominations......

Gaited Horseshow Fun-Filled Weekend: Oh my gosh. Such a fun time this weekend at the Horsemen's. We had Eight Buckle winners at the Gaited Horseshow (for High-Point in age group member/non-member). We had a fun campout and super fun at the potluck/Austin Powers Dance party. Special thanks:

County Meeting : Equine Zoning Amendments The County heard us loud and clear through the petition, emails and letters! Thank you to all who participated to make our voices heard. We had a FAN-tastic turnout.! About 175 in person, 55 online. They addressed 6 of our big concerns at the beginning of their presentation on Thursday night, November 6th at 6pm. They will:
