| President's Message Dear SCCHA Members, As we stride into the month of May, it's with great pleasure that we reflect on the successes of April and anticipate the exciting events lined up for the coming weeks. English Schooling Show – Spring Fling: We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated and supported our first-ever English Schooling Show held on April 28th. It was a day filled with camaraderie, sportsmanship, and impressive displays of equestrian skill. Riders came together to showcase their talents, and the atmosphere was nothing short of electrifying. Congratulations to all the competitors for their outstanding performances and a special shoutout to the winners across the different classes. Your dedication and passion for the sport were truly inspiring. A big round of applause is also due to our dedicated volunteers and staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the event. Your hard work and commitment are deeply appreciated and integral to the success of our shows. Robbie Potter Horsemanship Clinic: The highly anticipated Robbie Potter Horsemanship Clinic is taking place this year at Lone Oak Stables in Gilroy on May 18 and 19. While the clinic itself is fully booked, we're excited to offer auditing opportunities on Saturday and/or Sunday for $25 per day. This is an exceptional chance to observe and learn from one of the industry's finest horsemen. Robbie Potter's expertise and insights are sure to inspire and elevate your horsemanship skills, regardless of your experience level. Don't miss out on this invaluable opportunity to expand your knowledge and deepen your connection with your equine partners. Upcoming 5D Play Day: Our attention now turns to our upcoming 5D Play Day scheduled for May 19th. Save the date and prepare for a day filled with exhilarating competition and camaraderie. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or a newcomer, this event promises to be fun for all skill levels. We can't wait to see you there! Warm regards and happy trails, Tami |

We're excited to be included in the 3rd Annual Preservations Awards Night. This event honors local individuals and organizations for their work in preserving the history of our Valley. Our Horsemen's Association, founded in 1939, was granted a display table, where we can lay out our history books, banner, saddles, etc. Since our founding in 1939, Santa Clara County Horsemen's Association has worked to preserve the fellowship of our equestrian members, maintenance of horse trails and a greater understanding of horses. This will be a wonderful night to network with other preservation groups and the public here in Santa Clara County. We believe in working together and are helping to sponsor this event in support of all the outstanding leaders in preservation. Thank you Rachael for donating to the event on behalf of the Santa Clara County Horsemen's Association!! Register for the event - Tickets: https://www.preservation.org/npm2024. Just $20 with ample parking since the event will be at History San Jose (right next to Happy Hollow Zoo). |
