SCCHA's Rich Heritage
The Santa Clara County Horsemen's Association (SCCHA) was founded in San Jose in 1939 and met for many years at the DeAnza Hotel before acquiring its first clubhouse on Alum Rock Ave. The McKean Road property was purchased in the mid-1960's. The SCCHA has the distinction of being the oldest established club associated with the California State Horsemen's Association.
The SCCHA was formed to sponsor, cultivate and foster an interest in horses and increase the knowledge and kinship of equestrians.
Additionally, we support legislation state, county or municipal that may be favorable to horsemen.
